Referring to the first paragraph of my telegram

YOU 104SHIG HIS

of the 2nd. March and to your reply of the 8th. March, paraphrases

of which are enclosed, I have the honour to report that the British S. S. "Ixion" belonging to the Ocean Steamship Company, recently arrived in the Colony having on board 49,000 lbs of flour, through

cargo consigned from Seattle to Manila, marked "to Order Notify

Behn Meyer and Company".

Hessrs. Behn Meyer and Company are a German

firm and they are in Class A on the Wor Trade Department General

Black List. I have allowed the consignment to go forward, but I

have caused Messrs. Butterfield and Swire, Agents for the Ocean Steamship Company, to be warned of the status of Messrs. Behn Meyer

and Company.
